Medtronic has entered an exclusive U.S. distribution agreement with Japan-based Future Medical Design to expand its peripheral vascular portfolio. The deal includes the new F-14 and F-18 stainless steel guidewires, featuring the first 400 cm, 0.018″ peripheral guidewire available in the U.S.
These guidewires, designed for crossability and torque control, complement Medtronic’s existing transradial tools for treating peripheral arterial disease (PAD). The addition aligns with the company’s strategy to provide physicians with a comprehensive suite of devices for complex lower extremity interventions.
