Imperative Care and Proximie have announced a partnership to develop the Telos robotic-assisted platform for ischemic stroke treatment. Telos aims to enable physicians to perform aspiration thrombectomy procedures both on-site and remotely, potentially improving access for stroke patients worldwide.

Proximie will integrate its cloud-based Software Development Kit (SDK) into Telos, allowing real-time sharing of audio, video and telemetry data during procedures. The collaboration builds on Proximie’s recent partnerships with Olympus and Distalmotion to expand its reach in digital surgery.

Imperative Care’s CEO Fred Khosravi says the goal is to close the significant treatment gap, noting that around 80% of eligible stroke patients in the U.S. do not receive thrombectomy care.
