Leica Microsystems, part of Danaher, has launched the ARveo 8x, a hybrid surgical microscope designed for neurosurgery, spine, and plastic reconstructive procedures. The system combines Leica’s optics with advanced 3D visualization and digital data integration, including fluorescence imaging and enhanced illumination to protect tissue.
The lightweight setup promotes surgeon comfort and freedom, supporting heads-up, exoscopic surgery via 3D monitors, which also improve teaching capabilities. Surgeons can switch seamlessly between optical and digital views, with integration of compatible image-guided surgery (IGS) systems.
