Aurora Spine announced that surgeons have completed the first two procedures using its new Aero MIS Lumbar Fusion System. The system, cleared for spinal levels C2 to S1, can be used as a standalone facet fusion solution or alongside larger spinal fusion surgeries.

Aero targets patients with mechanical back pain, mild instability, or degenerative joint disease who haven’t responded to conservative therapy. The system’s design aims to promote bone fusion while minimizing soft-tissue disruption.

“We’re proud to see Aero implanted into patients so soon after approval,” said CEO Trent Northcutt. “Early feedback has been positive, and strong surgeon interest shows its potential as a key growth driver for Aurora.”
