Moon Surgical announced FDA 510(k) clearance for two new features on its Maestro surgical robot platform.
The first clearance enables active Wi-Fi and 5G connectivity, powering the Maestro Insights cloud platform. This system offers clinicians procedural data insights and tracks surgical utilization and progress at individual and facility levels.
The second clearance covers a Predetermined Change Control Plan (PCCP) for ScoPilot, an AI-driven tool integrated into Maestro. ScoPilot facilitates real-time laparoscope control aligned with the surgeon’s instrument movements, with the PCCP enabling rapid testing and deployment of future versions.
“These clearances unlock new value and innovation for surgical teams and hospital systems,” said CEO Anne Osdoit.
