Intuitive Surgical (Nasdaq: ISRG) has received CE mark approval for its next-generation da Vinci 5 robotic surgical system. The approval covers adult and pediatric minimally invasive endoscopic procedures across the abdominopelvic space, including urologic, gynecologic, general laparoscopic, and thoracoscopic surgeries.
Already FDA-cleared and commercially rolling out in the U.S., da Vinci 5 features more than 150 enhancements, including Force Feedback, advanced vibration controls, and an immersive surgeon console. Intuitive says the system offers its most precise and ergonomic performance to date.
CEO Dave Rosa called the CE mark a milestone that expands access to Europe, reflecting over a decade of development aimed at delivering better outcomes and efficiency in minimally invasive care.
