The custom software enables physicians to view AI-generated insights from GI Genius directly through Apple Vision Pro, allowing uninterrupted focus on the operative screen. This marks the first exploration of spatial computing in gastrointestinal endoscopy.
GI Genius, distributed globally by Medtronic, is an AI-based polyp detection system available in the U.S. since 2021. Its latest update includes FDA-cleared ColonPRO software to enhance polyp identification and quality reporting during colorectal cancer screening.
