Anaconda Biomed has received CE mark approval for its ANA5 funnel catheter, clearing it for commercialization in Europe.
Designed to improve mechanical thrombectomy, ANA5 features a vessel-matching funnel that captures clots more effectively while enabling flow arrest and potential flow reversal. Its expandable, radiopaque nitinol structure is tailored for neurovascular procedures.
Though not yet available in the U.S., the device is under clinical evaluation there. CEO Trent Reutiman called the approval a key step toward improving stroke care across Europe.
