Terumo Neuro has launched the Sofia Flow 88, a large-bore aspiration catheter engineered for enhanced clot removal in stroke procedures.
With a 0.088 in. inner diameter, Flow 88 introduces design upgrades focused on smoother navigation, procedural stability, and safety. It features:
- Optimized flexibility for complex vasculature
- Reinforced nitinol structure to maintain lumen integrity
- Compliant, atraumatic tip to conform to clot shape
Built on over a decade of global clinical success, the Sofia family has supported 500,000+ procedures in 170 countries. The Flow 88 is fully compatible with existing aspiration systems, including the Sofia Plus 6F catheter, which has shown strong outcomes in the SOFAST registry and SESAME trial.
