Dexcom (Nasdaq: DXCM) announced the promotion of Jake Leach, its Chief Operating Officer (COO), to the role of president. Leach, a 21-year Dexcom veteran, joined in 2004 to lead sensor electronics development for the company’s first commercial continuous glucose monitor (CGM).
Before becoming COO in 2022, Leach served as Chief Technology Officer starting in 2018, leading research, product development, product management, and engineering. As COO, he managed global operations, R&D, quality, regulatory, and medical affairs.
In his new dual role as president and COO, Leach will also oversee corporate development and strategy, expanding his leadership scope at Dexcom.
