Axoft made its ultra-soft Fleuron brain implant material available for purchase in research and development applications. Fleuron is 10,000 times softer than traditional polyimide materials used in implantable brain-computer interfaces (iBCIs), enhancing biocompatibility and reducing tissue scarring and lead migration over time.

The Cambridge, Massachusetts company also announced a licensing agreement with Stanford University to advance research using Fleuron.
