Inspire Medical (NYSE: INSP), known for its pacemaker-like device treating sleep apnea, has appointed two senior medical directors: Dr. Paul T. Hoff, otolaryngologist, and Dr. Ruchir P. Patel, sleep medicine specialist. Hoff and Patel will begin their VP-level roles on April 21 and June 2, respectively.
Both experts bring decades of clinical experience and deep knowledge of Inspire therapy. Hoff, an associate professor at the University of Michigan and former president of both the Michigan Otolaryngology Society and International Surgical Sleep Society, emphasized his commitment to advancing sleep surgery innovations. Patel, founder of The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona, is recognized for his research in hypoglossal nerve stimulation and precision sleep medicine.
Inspire CEO Tim Herbert highlighted their roles in steering medical education, training, and future technology to expand Inspire therapy’s adoption.
Both will continue independent clinical practices alongside their Inspire responsibilities.
