Simplera Sync now compatible with MiniMed 780G insulin pump
Medtronic has received FDA approval for its Simplera Sync continuous glucose monitor (CGM) to be used with its MiniMed 780G automated insulin delivery system in the U.S.
Simplera Sync is a disposable, fingerstick-free CGM sensor that offers a two-step insertion process and does not require overtape. It works seamlessly with Medtronic’s SmartGuard technology, expanding CGM options for MiniMed 780G users alongside the Guardian 4 sensor.
The MiniMed 780G system features meal detection technology and makes automatic insulin adjustments every five minutes, handling both basal and bolus needs to optimize glucose control.
