New roles aim to streamline operations and boost growth
Staar Surgical announced a major leadership restructuring to enhance focus on revenue growth and operational efficiency following recent layoffs.
- Warren Foust, previously COO, now assumes the expanded role of President and COO, overseeing sales, manufacturing, and operations, with several key executives now reporting to him.
- Magda Michna is promoted to Chief Development Officer, adding R&D and quality to her oversight of clinical, regulatory, and medical affairs. Keith Holiday, former CTO and head of R&D, will exit the company.
- Deborah Andrews steps in as interim CFO, replacing Patrick Williams, who will assist during a three-month transition period.
CEO Steve Farrell, newly appointed, said the restructuring is the first step in positioning the company for stronger performance and increased shareholder value.
